Department of Health Bulletins

The Department of Health (DoH) publishes two bulletins which may be a useful source of information for you if you are a nurse or allied health professional in England. The bulletins bring you the latest news and developments within the NHS as well as examples of good practise and successful projects.


Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Bulletin

A bulletin for all staff in the allied health professions.

The aim of this bulletin is to address matters related to the organisation and delivery of AHP services and includes items of direct interest to AHP staff. In addition, the DoH website provides a single point of access to further information on all items of interest to AHPs. Chief Nursing Officer's (CNO) Bulletin

This bulletin is for all NHS nurses, midwives and health visitors.

The CNO bulletin aims to provide you with updated information about relevant issues in the NHS which will be of specific interest to nurses, midwives and health visitors. It will also enable you to obtain further detail about particular issues. You can view the most recent as well as previous issues of the CNO Bulletin through the following link.

Chief Nursing Officer's (CNO) Response August 2009

The CNO's response to the call for views on those issues relating to Commission on the Future of Nursing and Midwifery.

The CNO submits this view as being representative of MS Specialist Nursing and hopes that it will help to inform the debate on the future of nursing.
