Santa Pod Raceway: The FIA Main Event

MS Trust stall at Santa Pod

The MS Trust was lucky enough to be chosen as the Official Charity for Santa Pod Raceway's 'The FIA Main Event', which took place from 28-31 May 2010.

Racing to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis and the MS Trust was Team Edge, with their fantastic 9.3 litre Vauxhall Cavalier (pictured bottom right) wrapped in MS Trust logos! Gordon Northway and Mel Smith from Team Edge even managed to get US drag racing star Melanie Troxel to put an MS Trust sticker on her car.

The MS Trust and Team Edge both had stalls at the event, where we had the chance to speak to lots of drag racing supporters and people affected by MS. We also raised £835 through raffles and collections during the event.

Kaz Aston did a fantastic job working with Nitro FM to raise the MS Trust's profile during the event and sourced lots of great prizes for the raffle from big drag racing teams. Top drag racer Gary Page and Alex Alam from BBC3's Last Woman Standing recorded radio adverts for the MS Trust, which were played during the event to help raise awareness.

The Edge

The MS Trust would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made this fantastic event possible.
